Geography of Warangal

Warangal is located in the Telangana region of Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and is the fourth largest city of the state. Warangal is the biggest city and largest municipal of Warangal district. The city is located at a distance of about 188 Km from Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Warangal district is spread across an area of 12,846 square kilometers. Warangal is located at 18.0' N 79.58? E on the southern part of India and has an average elevation of 302 meters (990 feet). The region is full of water resources and comprises many lakes, which provides water for irrigation purpose of land.
Warangal is bordered by Medak District to the west, Nalgonda District to the southwest, Khammam District to the east and southeast, and Karimnagar District to the north.

Climate of Warangal
